Name of the project: Cultural Heritage Integration Through Local Links (CHILL) Project
Aims of the project: We believe that this project will help reduce the socio-economic gap between Sanliurfa and other regions by directly joining in the ‘sustainable development’ activities mobilized in the Southeastern Anatolia. The project will also greatly help increase the number of human resources trained and equipped with the skills necessary for tourism and to protect the cultural heritage. .
Target group and the number beneficiaries:
• High school graduates of ages 18-25 living in Sanliurfa with low socio-economic-status (10 % of with physical disability) to get regional, cultural and vocational training for tourism sector.
• 30 cab-drivers living and working in Sanliurfa for in-service training
• Five college-graduates preferably from Sanliurfa to be trained as consultants
• 24 instructors, preferably from Sanliurfa, to offer the training as defined in the project

GRUNDTVIG 2006 AWARD

TEAM PROJECT WAS GIVEN THE GRUNDTVIG 2006 AWARD BY THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF THE EDUCATION FOR ADULTS-EAEA ON 18TH NOVEMBER IN AVILES- SPAIN DURING THE EAEA’S GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 2006 AND THE AWARD CEREMONY. IN ADDITION, TEAM PROJECT WAS SELECTED AS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PROJECT AMONG THE OTHER GRUNDTVIG 2 PROJECTS THAT CONDUCTED BETWEEN 2005-2006-TIME PERIODS BY THE CENTER OF EUROPEAN UNION EDUCATION AND YOUTH PROGRAMMES (TURKISH NATIONAL AGENCY).


Training activities
Training activities of HYDRA for the period 2006-2007 will be commencing on October 2006.
Socrates/Grundtvig2 Learning Partnership Evaluation Results
Socrates / Grundtvig 2 Learning Partnership Evaluation Results were announced. PASS: Personal Access for People with Migrant Background Project by the partnership of HYDRA was granted by Turkish National Agency.
