16- The European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights, Turkey 2004 Micro Project Programme Criminalize Observation for Defence Enlighten (CODE) Project, Bar of Ankara and HYDRA Consortium

Name of the Project: Criminalize Observation for Defence Enlighten (CODE) Project
Purpose of the Project: The aim of the action: to equip defence lawyers with the capacity to provide immediate, ‘upon arrest’ legal services and to follow international developments in criminal technology. As a result of the program designed to make the lawyer efficient in the process of adequate evidence structuring, which is a prerequisite for trial, defence and judgment; a system that is free from the current method of reaching the ‘crime via the suspicious’ Instead, the lawyer would insist for the utilization of the method of ‘reaching the criminal via the evidence’ by using criminal technology and further, place such an understanding of justice in a system that respects human rights at every stage of the legal system.

Target group and the number beneficiaries: Criminal lawyers, who are in service in accordance with article 147 of CMK and who are registered to the Bar of Ankara and defendants, who are defined as ‘those who are not able to appoint lawyers’ in the article 150 of CMK.

GRUNDTVIG 2006 AWARD

TEAM PROJECT WAS GIVEN THE GRUNDTVIG 2006 AWARD BY THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF THE EDUCATION FOR ADULTS-EAEA ON 18TH NOVEMBER IN AVILES- SPAIN DURING THE EAEA’S GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 2006 AND THE AWARD CEREMONY. IN ADDITION, TEAM PROJECT WAS SELECTED AS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PROJECT AMONG THE OTHER GRUNDTVIG 2 PROJECTS THAT CONDUCTED BETWEEN 2005-2006-TIME PERIODS BY THE CENTER OF EUROPEAN UNION EDUCATION AND YOUTH PROGRAMMES (TURKISH NATIONAL AGENCY).

Socrates / Grundtvig 2 Learning Partnership Evaluation Results were announced. PASS: Personal Access for People with Migrant Background Project by the partnership of HYDRA was granted by Turkish National Agency.
